New! CD138 Immunohistochemical study
OLIMP СDL is expanding its range of immunohistochemical tests and introduces a new study - CD138 expression assessment by immunohistochemistry (IHC).
CD138 (syndecan-1) is a specific marker of plasma cells and is widely used in the diagnosis of chronic endometritis. The identification of CD138-positive plasma cells in the endometrium improves the accuracy of diagnosing inflammatory processes and helps physicians determine the most appropriate patient management strategy.
When is this test recommended ?
- Suspected chronic endometritis;
- Infertility of unknown origin;
- Repeated unsuccessful IVF attempts;
- Recurrent pregnancy loss;
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment for chronic endometritis.
Biomaterial
The study is performed using endometrial biopsy specimens, aspirates, or curettage samples prepared as paraffin blocks.
Advantages of the test
- high specificity for the detection of plasma cells;
- improved diagnostic accuracy compared with routine histological examination;
- assistance in diagnosing chronic endometrial inflammation and assessing its activity.
