"Rhinocytogram of nasal mucosa scraping" is the analysis of a scraping from the nasal cavity under a microscope. A rhinocytogram allows you to determine the presence of cells in the nasal secretion that are characteristic of allergic or infectious diseases that cause rhinitis, an inflammation of the nasal mucosa. The result is a description of the general cytological picture with the count of white blood cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, ciliated epithelium, lymphocytes, macrophages, mucus, erythrocytes, yeast, flora.
Attention! Preparation for rhinocytogram does not include nasal toileting or rinsing before the test; exclude the use of nasal sprays, drops containing corticosteroids within 24 hours before submitting the biomaterial for analysis; exclude the use of ointments and creams for 48 hours before submitting the biomaterial for analysis.
