Anti-SS-B (La)

Antibodies to the SS-B(La) component or Sjogren B antigen are antibodies to a protein associated with RNA polymerase–3, detected in Sjogren's disease and in the initial period of systemic lupus erythematosus, which develops in old age and is associated with a low incidence of nephritis.

Antibodies to SS-B(La) in combination with antibodies to SS-A(Ro) are characteristic of lupus in newborns. The main feature of this syndrome is cardiological pathology in the form of congenital myocardial conduction disorders, such blockages often require specialized therapeutic measures.
