Trichomonas vaginalis
Trichomonas belongs to the parasitic protozoa, which are the causative agents of many sexual diseases.
Among all sexually transmitted diseases, trichomoniasis ranks third. It may manifest foamy discharge, pain when urinating, or be asymptomatic.
It does not cause serious complications, but it serves as a factor that increases the risk of infection with other sexual infections. Independently, it can lead to inflammatory processes (urethritis, cervicitis, vaginitis).
