Determination of Ig G to Cysticerci (Taenia solium)

Cysticercosis is an infection caused by larvae T. Solium.

Taenia solium (teniosis) is an intestinal infection caused by adult tapeworms that occurs due to eating infected pork.

The causative agent is the larvae of the armed tapeworm (Taenia solium).

Cysticercosis develops as a result of ingestion of pork tapeworm eggs with contaminated products, through dirty hands, when mature segments are thrown from the intestine into the stomach during vomiting in persons infected with the sexually mature form of pork tapeworm (that is, as a complication of teniosis).
