Determination of mephedrone, amphetamine and their derivatives in urine (chromatography)

The detection of mephedrone, amphetamine and their metabolites in urine is a specific laboratory test aimed at identifying these stimulants, which are often used recreationally and have a high potential for dependence and serious side effects.

High-performance liquid chromatography with a mass spectrometric detector (HPLC-MS) is used to detect these substances. This method provides high sensitivity and specificity, allowing even trace concentrations of mephedrone, amphetamine, and other synthetic cathinones to be detected in urine.

Facilities

The test can detect:

  • Mephedrone
  • Amphetamine
  • Methamphetamine
  • MDMA (ecstasy)
  • MDPV and other synthetic stimulant derivatives
