Eczema + IgE Total Package

The Eczema package is a comprehensive analysis that identifies sensitization to common household allergens (D. farinae and D. pteronyssinus mites), epidermal allergens (cat and dog epithelium) and food allergens (egg white, milk, cod, wheat, soy) allergens in eczema and other skin rashes of presumed allergic origin.

Eczema is a non-infectious inflammatory skin reaction caused by intolerance to various external and internal factors. This skin rash is characterized by itching, burning, and recurrence. In many literature sources, the term “eczema” also corresponds to "dermatitis". It is very important to differentiate allergic eczema (dermatitis) from infectious and dermatological diseases, diseases of internal organs with skin manifestations (diseases of the liver, digestive tract, kidneys, endocrine and nervous systems), parasitic diseases, scabies, and others.

The disease usually begins in early childhood and may continue or recur in adulthood. In 50% of patients, atopic dermatitis disappears by the age of 15, while in the rest it may continue throughout life.

According to the recommendations of the EAACI (European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology) - European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology) for European countries, children with eczema should be tested for allergies to house dust mites, cats and dogs, fish and seafood, soy, nuts, wheat, egg protein, and cow's milk.

The purpose of this analysis package is to determine specific IgE to major household, epidermal, pollen, and food allergens using the ImmunoCAP method. Allergy diagnostics using ImmunoCAP technology is characterized by high accuracy and specificity, which is achieved by detecting low concentrations of specific IgE in a very small amount of the patient's blood. The World Health Organization and the World Allergy Organization recognize ImmunoCAP diagnostics as the "gold standard" because this method has proven its accuracy and stability of results in independent studies.

The Eczema package also includes analysis of total immunoglobulin E (IgE) using the ImmunoCAP method, which allows for a detailed assessment of overall sensitivity to allergens and the use of the ratio of specific immunoglobulin E to total immunoglobulin E, providing more complete information about the causative allergen.
