Systemic autoimmune diseases (CTD + ANA)

Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA)
Antinuclear antibodies are autoantibodies directed against components of the body’s own cell nuclei. Their detection is a crucial laboratory test for diagnosing systemic autoimmune connective tissue diseases.

ANA Screening (CTD + ANF)
A comprehensive laboratory test aimed at detecting antibodies associated with systemic autoimmune connective tissue diseases.

The package combines two complementary methods:

  1. CTD Screen (ELISA)

    • An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detecting antibodies against major nuclear antigens (dsDNA, SSA, SSB, Sm, RNP, Scl-70, Jo1, etc.).

    • Allows rapid assessment of the likelihood of an autoimmune process.

  2. Antinuclear Factor (ANF)

    • Detection of antibodies by indirect immunofluorescence on the HEp-2 cell line.

    • Considered the “gold standard” for ANA diagnostics and allows determination of:

      1. Pattern of fluorescence

      2. Titer

      3. Antigen specificity

      4. Possible clinical association

Applications
The package can be used for diagnosis and monitoring of:

  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

  • Systemic scleroderma

  • Sjögren’s syndrome

  • Dermato-/polymyositis

  • Mixed connective tissue diseases

  • Autoimmune liver diseases and other autoimmune conditions
