ITGB3 encodes the membrane glycoprotein integrin beta-3 (ITGB3) that forms subunit complex on the platelet membrane representing the platelet fibrinogen receptor. Polymorphism changes the rate of platelet aggregation, it shall be included in the aspirin therapy response assessment, thrombosis risk assessment

Potential genotypes:

• Т/Т – normal platelet aggregation capacity

• Т/С – platelet aggregation capacity is moderately increased

• С/С – platelet aggregation capacity is high
