Urine sampling (urine container)
Urine test – nowadays it is a standard laboratory analysis in the diagnosis of almost any disease. This test gives the doctor a lot of useful information for the diagnosis of diseases. After all, most of the known toxic substances of the blood are excreted in urine, salts, organic substances and cellular elements are dissolved in it.
Rules of urine collection:
- For the reliability of the analysis, a special container for urine collection should be purchased in the OLYMP CDL.
- A day before the test, foods that change the color of the urine (beets, carrots, cherries, candy with colored icing) should not be consumed.
- Before collecting material for the test, a thorough hygienic toilet of the external genitalia should be performed as bacteria and "old" cells can get into the urine, leading to false test results.
- The first morning urine is collected, with the very first portions drained into the toilet.
- After filling (50ml on average), the container is tightly closed with a lid.
- Deliver the material to the treatment room within 2 hours, avoiding freezing of the biomaterial.
- Women are not recommended to do urine tests during the menstrual cycle.
