Gonorrhea can become incurable
The World Health Organization has released a report saying that the sexually transmitted disease gonorrhea is becoming increasingly resistant to drugs and may potentially become incurable.
The WHO is raising the alarm and insisting that doctors and governments pay more attention to gonorrhea, which is becoming resistant to antibiotics. According to WHO experts, gonorrhea can lead not only to inflammation, infertility, and pregnancy complications but even to the death of the pregnant mother.
According to WHO statistics, 106 million new cases of gonorrhea are registered annually in the world.
Types of gonorrhea resistant to conventional drugs have been discovered in recent years in Japan, Britain, Hong Kong, and Norway.
