Raspberry, f343
This plant grows (albeit in different species) in temperate regions in both Europe and North America. Technically, raspberries are those blackberry bushes in which small knobby thimble-shaped fruits are easily separated from the core or flowering plant - unlike similar-looking blackberries, in which the fruits are firmly attached to the flowering plant. It is generally believed that raspberries are only bright red, but in fact they can also be dark blue, yellow or white. Raspberries are used in pies, syrups, seasonings, jams, jellies and other canned goods. Herbal tea is made from dried leaves. The shoots and roots are also edible. Raspberries can cause food allergy symptoms in sensitized people.
