Grapes (Vitis vinifera) are one of the oldest cultivated plants. It grows in temperate and subtropical climates, especially in the Mediterranean region, and its fruits, grapes, are consumed either directly or in the form of juice or wine. 
Grapes have been reported to cause oral allergy syndrome, generalized urticaria, asthma, atopic dermatitis, angioedema, gastrointestinal symptoms, hypotension, rhinitis, asthma, and exercise-induced anaphylaxis.
A common side effect is an oral allergy to grapes. It is important to note that patients may subsequently develop anaphylactic shock or exercise-induced anaphylaxis. Patients who complain of symptoms indicating anaphylaxis should be tested for grape allergy.
